Telkom University Surabaya membuka kesempatan beasiswa melalui Beasiswa Ujian Tulis Gelombang-1 (UTG1) yang dapat diikuti oleh para siswa SMA/SMK sederajat untuk melanjutkan studi di perguruan tinggi. Beasiswa ini tidak hanya memberikan dukungan finansial sebagian, melainkan menyediakan bantuan keuangan hingga mencakup 100 persen dari biaya pendidikan.
Universitas Telkom Surabaya (Tel-U Surabaya) merupakan salah satu entitas di bawah naungan Telkom University, sebuah perguruan tinggi swasta yang didirikan pada 14 Agustus 2013 melalui penggabungan empat perguruan tinggi swasta. Pendaftaran untuk Beasiswa UTG1 telah dimulai sejak 9 Desember 2023 dan akan berlangsung hingga 16 Februari 2024. Menurut informasi dari laman resmi Telkom University Surabaya, Sabtu (20/1/2024), terdapat beberapa syarat yang harus dipenuhi oleh para calon pendaftar:
- Calon pendaftar dapat berasal dari siswa SMA/SMK/MA dengan semua jurusan.
- Batas usia maksimal pendaftaran adalah 25 tahun pada Agustus 2024.
- Melakukan pembelian PIN Pendaftaran seharga Rp 400.000, yang memungkinkan memilih hingga maksimal 5 program studi.
- Pendaftaran dilakukan secara online di smb.telkomuniversity.ac.id.
Proses pendaftaran untuk gelombang satu ini berlangsung dari 9 Desember 2023 hingga 16 Februari 2024.
Wakil Direktur III Telkom University Surabaya, Agoes Windarto, menjelaskan bahwa tes tulis ini mencakup materi tes skolastik seperti penalaran umum, pengetahuan kuantitatif, pengetahuan dan pemahaman umum, serta memahami bacaan dan menulis. Tes ini memberikan kesempatan bagi para pendaftar untuk menunjukkan potensi akademis mereka. Selain itu, tes dapat diikuti dari rumah, memberikan keleluasaan kepada calon mahasiswa untuk mengikuti tes dengan kenyamanan di rumah mereka sendiri.
Beasiswa UTG1 ini memberikan batas umur maksimal hingga 25 tahun pada Agustus 2024 untuk calon pendaftar yang merupakan lulusan tahun sebelumnya atau melakukan gap year. Pendaftar dapat memilih hingga maksimal 5 program studi, memberikan fleksibilitas untuk mengejar minat dan bakat secara lebih mendalam.
Telkom University Surabaya menawarkan 11 program studi unggulan, antara lain Teknik Elektro, Teknik Telekomunikasi, Teknik Komputer, Teknik Industri, Sistem Informasi, Teknik Logistik, Informatika, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak, Teknologi Informasi, Sains Data, dan Bisnis Digital.
Para calon mahasiswa diundang untuk memanfaatkan peluang beasiswa ini di Telkom University Surabaya.
