Frekuensi radio adalah jenis gelombang elektromagnetik yang digunakan dalam komunikasi radio. Frekuensi radio ditentukan oleh jumlah siklus gelombang elektromagnetik yang terjadi dalam satuan waktu (Hertz atau Hz). Frekuensi radio yang digunakan dalam komunikasi biasanya berada dalam rentang dari 3 kHz hingga 300 GHz. - Efisiensi spektral dimana Frekuensi radio memiliki tingkat efisiensi spektral yang tinggi, yang memungkinkan banyak informasi dapat ditransmisikan dalam ruang spektral yang sama.
- Biaya yang relatif rendah, relatif murah dibandingkan dengan teknologi komunikasi lainnya, seperti satelit atau kabel.
